Thank you Edinburghglass - i'm still in the process in setting up my mobile shoe business and it really does help me to know of the problems you encounter and how i can provide an excellent service.
I'm in the process of completing a specialist shoe fitting course and my background is in nursing so i have seen how difficult it is for the elderly to get a good fit. I will be suppying padders/coseyfeet shoes less VAT if medical problems allow for this.
I would really appreciate hearing how those in residential homes/hospital are supplied with shoes + slippers, does anyone else already use a mobile service, would you use one?
The cost of shoes supplied would on average be £50 inclusive of fitting service ie. same price as the shops. I will also supply wide fitting and seam free socks, tights, shoe horns.
Look forward to hearing your views! How much ?????????!!!0 -
I like cosyfeet. Very light and comfy shoes
I did try several pairs from hotter but they are not all that wide. Their cs is great and they refunded the shoes I sent back. I tried 5 pairs and only kept one pair
I wore cosyfeet sandals on holiday and didn`t have even a minute of discomfort0 -
Thanks to all who replied.I think the Cosyfeet will suit MiL very well.We have just persuaded her to use a walking stick too,so hopefully we will have her mobile soon..Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.0

my feet are the worst in the world to fit re comfort shoes. Hotter aren`t wide enough and I have had to send a few back to cosyfeet because they didn`t fit well.
I read the crocs thread and blow it, I sent for a pair and they are divine re comfort and fit. I don`t like the styling etc but hey who cares. I am off out today and will be wearing my new crocs. They feel like slippers0
