Well, here I am posting again - Im starting to feel proud of myself for becoming a regular poster - it really keeps me on track! I may not have saved much so far but I am definitely more organised and I am thinking twice which I think will help me with spending in the long run.
My list for today:-
- compile list for going into town on saturday (I am just going to go once rather than pop in for bits here and there because I think that will keep the cost down!). List in progress - I need to get some birthday presents, wrapping paper etc.
- 2 x loads of washing today - in progress
- plan meals for next week and think about shopping list - will look at the old style board for inspiration
- look at bank account
- pay for theatre ticket for july - not very MSE but it will be nice to get out and it will feel like a freebie in july because Im paying it now
- salad from the canteen for lunch - i have realised that realistically i am not going to bring lunch every day so i have set myself a target of 3 days per week and will hopefully increase it (the canteen is cheap though so not too bad!)
- look at budget - my budget is evolving as the days go by and I think of things - is this normal? I hope so!
I can't think of anything else at the moment. Thank you all, reading your stories keeps me going!
Have a good day everyone.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for starting us LPP, will catch up with everyone later as I've just noticed the time & I still need to pop to Mr T's!
Today I have/will:-- Made use of free water & milk at work, resisting all the leftover free cake...I want the body of my dreams more than a chocolate cake!
- Food from stores
- Staying in for most of my lunch break to avoid spending money but need to pop to Mr T's to try & make use of the Nouvelle offer.
- Dinner from meal plan
- Log calories using free app
- Check postcode lottery
- Charging phone at work
- Heating off as long as possible & on low when needed, lots of layers on to keep warm.
- Check online banking
- Check for new mystery shopping opportunities
- Enter some comps
- Do some decluttering & flylady
- Need to find all my receipts & enter them into Mr T's price promise
- Need to fess up on the GC thread
- Check Gumtree
- Research cost of holiday to Berlin for DH's 30th in November, anyone ever been that can offer me some tips?
- Continue reading household diary thread, going to try making my own sheets to fit my filofax
- DH doing overtime tonight
- Speak to mobile phone provider about my upgrade options, I can upgrade next week & my contract runs out in March, but the new Samsung galaxy is out in April/May...so would make more sense to go payg for a short while & get the new one right? But will I lose my loyalty offers?!

Hello, lots of good money saving going on with everyone today by the looks of things. Another NSD here & tomorrow too, as I've gone down with a cold so am staying in until I feel more lively. This morning I've
-Put Mr Foxgloves' dinner in the Slow cooker...a big chunky stew using the chicken stock I made on Mon, the last of the chicken & loads of the veg that needed using up in the veggie basket.
-Rest of parsnips/swedes chunked, blanched & frozen for next stew.
-Old onions made into French onion soup....it's fab for colds...so that'll be my dinner tonight with a dollop of grated cheese on top & a home-made bread roll.....(AND it hasn't blown the calorie budget, as big weight loss going on in this house!)
-Veggie peelings all popped in the wormery to be turned into lovely compost for Spring.
-Tricked cat into eating last night's ignored food, rather than opening fresh & wasting it :-)
-Checked survey site to see if any more points had been added on as am very close to another £30 Debenham's voucher (£90's worth for less than one year of surveys).
-But I do have a lergy, so feet up time this afternoon & will continue knitting stripy blanket squares using up odds & ends from my stash instead of being tempted to buy more wool. On the subject of lergy.....tried Aldi cold & flu caplets this morning, as on the rare occasions I buy these, I go for the much more expensive branded ones.....the Aldi ones are fine.....in fact, 40 mins after taking them, I was cheerfully doing the ironing!!

What happens at the end of your contract?
If it just carries on the same (but with no new contracted period), it may be worth just letting it run if it's only a couple of months ....

Hello, I know it's a bit late in the day, but I hope it's OK for me to join in? My husband is always telling me I need to be more positive and having lurked on these boards for a couple of weeks, I thought this seemed like a nice positive thread to start off with. My list for today is quite short, but I hope to do more tomorrow:
Already done:
Hit Swagbucks target
Did all surveys in inbox and checked Onepoll
Still to do:
Dig craft box out and make card for friend's b-day at weekend
Slice lemons up and put in freezer to be used in drinks at later date otherwise they will be wasted
Re-jig meal plan as couldnt get exact ingredients/short dates on some items bought last night
Package eBay items sold ready to post tomorrow
Write letter and return faulty product (it's freepost and I will use recycled envelope) - am hoping that they will give replacement or at least a coupon

Hi all :hello:
I must say I am so glad I got back online, really like posting again with ease!
Today:-
- Checked banking
- B/L from stores - dinner is a naughty takeway due to being DB3's birthday
- Sold two purges and a service plan (£25 extra commission)
- 1 x HC on quickwash
- Hang above HC on airer not tumble
- Decided on budget, clearing two more credit cards come payday :T and £400 over payment on another, still leaving me with £300 to treat myself
- Nice relaxing bath tonight and some "me time". Someone told me today I need to start sharing what's on my "plate". I don't think she meant dinner plate.
- Check for surveys
- HW off tonight I think
- Search for home management folder thread, couldn't find it again yesterday despite looking!
- Sparkle - I've not seen this on lists for a while girlies!
JxNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
