Just before Christmas i messaged the administrator with a technical problem about the below missing thread but got no reply.

I am having the following technical problem...
I tried clicking to a thread in my history from the beginning of December but instead got a webpage saying:
"Invalid Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator"
I've tried it using Mozilla Firefox 17 and IE8.

This wasn't a thread on the CAB board by any chance?

I got that message regularly when looking for a post on the CAB board - even when the thread itself was in fact still there, although I could find it eventually by manually going back through the threads.

OMG they've all of a sudden changed it to "Whoops! Sorry, you've landed on a page that doesn't exist!"
It's already getting a bit Stalinist!
As I said in my previous post, when i looked at it Yesterday, 12:03 AM it said "Invalid Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator"

    No they haven't.

You just misformatted the link in post #4 when you copied/pasted it.

Same as I did then. Same as you would if you clicked on the link in your first post.

Oh i see. I sloppily copied and pasted directly from post #1 to post#4 (I hadn't noticed the URL got truncated) when i should have used the address bar.

The thread has gone so therefore it is not a valid link so no reason to contact anybody as they probably won't tell you anything anyway.

The thread still appears in Google's cache.

It looks like you posted a picture of someone else's car with its registration number showing. The thread then appears to have been hi-jacked by people posting other off-topic picture.

The thread could have been deleted for either of the above reasons, the Forum Team don't need to justify their decision to remove the thread to you or any one else.

    Move on, life's too short.
