So i'm setting up some direct debits due to Halifax's changes. £1k was due to go to my MySave today, but i left the £1k in the wrong account, so it didn't get taken.
Do Nationwide keep trying for it or is it a case of - it wasn't there, so tough luck? Is there a charge for this?
For anyone saying phone them - it's 11pm, i'm hitting the sack after i post this & i'm at work until at least 6pm tomorrow, so i'm hoping that this route will be quicker than a phone call.
TIA.

It depends on the bank you are with, but a failed DD due to insufficient funds can cost you anything upto £25, with £8 - £15 being typical.0

Assuming the OP is setting up DDs to be drawn from a Halifax Reward current account, the good news is that Halifax do not charge for refusing a DD due to insufficient funds. However that was not the OP's question, which asked if Nationwide would try again to draw money on this DD.
I suspect that they would not, but that's just a guess.0
