We are looking for a new tv but there are so many to choose from and I haven't got a clue where to start. Hubby says he wants a 32" or a 37" smart led tv. What is the minimum spec we should look for and how much should we expect to pay? Are there any brands which are more relaible for this type of tv than others?

  • youwant to get full hd1080p not hd ready 720p. personally if i was getting a 32inch led smart tv then it would be a no brainer i would be off to richer sounds and get this one £349 with a 5 year guarantee.

TVs shrink after a few weeks, look for a 40" minimum. Apart from anything else much smaller and you'll have to sit on top of the TV to perceive HD. But as above off to Richer sounds and buy a well known make.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Where the tv is for will only take a 32" or a 37".

I went from a 37 to a 40 and the increase in size of the set was marginal, as the bezel on the newer set was far narrower than the old model and they are shrinking all the time, just a thought.

Depends really, since by this time next year,or even later this year they will both be out of date and don't expect the manufacturers to add the latest bits to them ...sorry but I am cynical. However the best way to tell which is the better is to see them in person and decide whether the facilities on A outweigh the picture on B.
