Laptop keyboard problem.

Made the newbie mistake of brushing the keyboard to clean out the crumbs and did it whilst on. Stupid, I know. Now the down/up arrows jump from top to botton and vice versa instantly instead os scrolling. I'm sure there is an easy way of solving this but don't know it.
Dell Inspiron 1501 on XP.

Thanks, tried that but it does not seem to make much difference.

run your fingers all over evey key,

down arrow does the same as end, and up arrow the same as home?

Is it in everything or a particular programme?

Tools >>Options>>Advanced, uncheck "always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages"
you may have to close and re-open the browser.
