credit card taken out in my name by ex-partner advice needed

My ex-partner took out a credit card in my name, used it and ran up a bill of £4000 I only discovered this after we seperated,I know have to repay this debt that I have been left with, ive apporached my local constabulary they took a statement from me and I provided evidence as to the usage of the card whilst I was at work, that proved it wasnt in my possession. They dismissed all charges as she pleaded not gulity, and they dismissed the case as a domestic issue.
I also contacted citzens advice and they wasnt any help, ive also contacted the bank regarding this as fraudulent use of my card and they also dismissed it.
If anybody has any advice to resolve this issue as I am potentionall going to end up blacklisted and in further debt because I can not keep up with the repayments.

I think you would be better off wording it that not that it was your card, but that you did not apply for the card and had no knowledge of it (obviously only if that is the case and you never used the card for any transactions at all). I would write to them to tell them when you first became aware of the card's existance and the debt on it.

Do you know how she applied for the card? Was it online? did she forge your signature on any documents? Did she intercept all the post e.g the card, the pin, the statements etc. How long did she have the card for? Do you have the physical card now? does it have a signature forged by her on it?
