Natwest cash machines....couple of questions?

Do all of Natwest's cash machines have the facility to accept cash deposits? Where will I get a paying-in slip, do they dispense them at the machine?

Also, can the cash be accessed from the (current) account the same day? (will be deposited well before 3.30pm)

Have a friend in desperate need and won't be anywhere near a branch tomorrow!

Thanks.

Are you paying in the funds on behalf of a friend?

You can just pay the funds in over the counter giving the cashier the account number and sort code no paying in slip is required. The funds will also be available immediately.

    >> How can I pay money in?

It has to be a special ATM in a branch or outside and it's an envelope, not a slip.

Yes, I'm lending a friend some money for a few days. I won't be anywhere near a branch tomorrow, they closed the local one last year. The website states that you can pay in cash at 750 cash machines, are these only located at branches?

Is there any other way of getting the money to her quickly? I'm taking the money from my Barclays account, I don't have internet or telephone banking on my account.

A bank transfer? They are mainly 'Faster Payments' nowadays, but still free.

Faster payment is your best bet
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.

Their maybe an issue as the OP does not have telephone or internet banking. Unless the transfer can be instigated in a barclays branch.

If stuck, you can ask Barclays to pay an annual standing order [ in branch] to your friend for the exact amount - Just remember to cancel it after its paid once ;)

The machine inside my local NatWest accepts notes and cheque deposits using either a paying in slip or bank card. No envelope involved.

It was an envelope in other banks that I dealt with.
Nationwide had a machine with envelopes outside and a more complicated one that took notes directly inside.

*Update*.....did it in a Barclays branch today, via fast payment. All done within a couple of hours.

    Thanks for replies!
