Gumtree taking hours to process listings. Same for you?

I tried to resume listing on Gumtree after Christmas after not listing anything since November.

The first problem I had was I could not log in to my account - all I got was an error message "I'm sorry your account is currently unavailable, please try again later."
I saw on Gumtree's Facebook page that others had had the same issue - at least until Gumtree deleted the posts! Gumtree's live chat was no help so after a few days I created a new account.

Up to November, any listings I submitted would appear in a few minutes. With Gumtree timing of listings is important, as if you don't have them on the front page of most recent listings at the right times of day few people will read them and they'll soon disappear off the front page into oblivion.

Now my listings take between 1 and 12 hours to appear. I submitted some at 12.10 today and they're still at processing stage almost 8 hours later.

Don't know if these new problems are local to me (Nottingham), or if it's because I was forced to create a new account. Also don't know if there's a difference between free listings (like mine) or paid listings.

How's everybody else's experience?

I've had odd times that listing on gumtree took over a day, other days it was straight away, seems no real reason that i could see. always using the same computer, same browser and same account!

been happening on and off for about 6 months, sometimes it's fine others it's not, i've been on live chat too, no help
