A programme said that once you are on the internet its for life and never really deleted? is this true? I have read before where people have deleted themselves from sites but they still show up?
Just interested to know if the statement is true?
and also to add that whatever you do on your pc can be seen even if you deleted it from your junk bin, as I once actually managed to retrieve stuff I had actually deleted from my bin with this programme I remember using once.
So that means, once you put yourself out there, whether be internet or what you do on pc, if you are connected to the internet you are "out there"?

When you delete files from your computer (even after emptying recycle bin) the file is still actually there. It's just that Windows will allow it to be overwritten at some point buy new stuff. The deletion just allows the space to be used again.
Best way to get rid of stuff I know of is to delete then empty recycle bin. Then defrag the hard drive. Then run CCleaner or similar on a wipe free space run which overwrites 'empty' space with a bunch of O's and 1's. You can set it to overwrite once, 3, or 7 times I believe. Mind you computer forensic bods can still recover stuff.
Ref the internet - cached version of websites can exist, plus people can copy stuff etc. Plus backups will exist on website's servers. So it's difficult to disappear from the web totally.0 -

What about if you say save something that you typed in word microsoft etc and save it, but dont put it on the internet and later delete it, that cant be traced can it? since it wasnt put on the internet but would only be stored on my pc until I delete correct?0

Unless you've got a bit of malware on your computer that uploads what you type, or you have set your computer up to share etc, or have zero security therefore allowing snooping, then a word doc on your computer will not be on the net.
If you delete it it will still exist on your computer until the area it was stored in is overwritten though.0 -
A big issue if you are young, have work difficulties, or have personal problems or habits, then venting them online or face book is not a good thing, as this moment of frustration can harm your employment for many decades.
Even joking online can get you in trouble

Easiest way to go " of line" is to get your self down to the deed poll office and start again!0
