    Makes no difference today as anything since 2007/8 has had to go through Court of protection.

    I meant that I didn't have to apply. My mum nominated me, the solicitor drew up the agreement, interviewed my mum and then it was lodged and registered. All I had to do was agree. The solicitor never mentioned the court of protection to us, I think that is only relevant if the person has lost capacity?

    Also doctor had to confirm that my mum had full capacity.
