Sky+ HD Box Problem

I have a Pace Sky+ HD box and over the last week I have had a problem recording programmes. The problem is that the recording is not stopping when the programme finishes.
I think I read somewhere that the channel has some input to this through the EPG or something, though I could be wrong. However, the problem is not specific to one channel.
Also, I have noticed that the box has deleted all the programmes I had on there before and they are not in the deleted folder either.
Has anyone come across either of these problems before, or how to fix them?
Not so bothered about the deleted programmes, I have excepted they have gone, it more the recordings not stopping.
Make - Pace
Model Number - R005.054.13.00P
Version Number - 9F3004
Cheers.

What channel are you recording, some smaller ones have been known to not properly set timings and recording just goes on until no space left.. But also could be box software is confused and needs reset.
When it keeps going like this all recordings not marked as KEEP go and also the deleted folder empties (deleted folder is fairly new and is located on planner, do left arrow from all programmes).
Probably worth doing a rebuild from installer menu or if programmes all gone anyway a full reset.
installer menu from services button, right arrow to settings, on Picture enter 01 then Select button. Sky+ Rebuild will reset but keep all recordings while Sysreset will fully reset box and delete recordings.0 -
I first noticed it on New Years day, they wife record Eastenders and it was still recording well in to the evening of the second.
Happened on the Crime Channel the other night and then happened on the History Channel last night.
As you have said above the programmes marked 'keep' were kept and all the rest ditched. I will try the Sky+ rebuild first as I have some recordings I want to keep.
Also, when I change channel, sometimes I'm just getting a blue screen and sound or picture and I either need to re-type in the channel numbers or select a different channel all together and then go back to channel I want to watch.0 -
We've had a problem recently where the box is just not recording anything. Nothing happened when we pressed the button. Anyway, I switched it to stand by, unplugged the power lead from the back, plugged it back in and waited a minute or so before switching it on again.
All was sorted. Have you tried that?0 -
Doesn't sound good. I doubt it was the broadcaster's fault if it was Eastenders. Did you maybe have bad signal at the time? Anyway, unplugging as per 1940sgal's instructions can fix a stack of problems. Leave it unplugged for 30 mins too just to make sure. If that doesn't help, a 'planner rebuild' might. It MIGHT also help with your lost programmes, but that doesn't sound good and you MAY need a new disk.
McKneff - If you've got the newest software on a Sky+HD box, when you go into your planner you'll see categories across the top - All, A-Z, Documentaries etc. Go left and you'll see 'Deleted' which is a new addition.0 -
Why doesn't Sky let you know when they add new features?
Thanks to Chris-j and almiller for the info on the deleted folder - I managed to resurrect the Royle Family which was deleted in error.0 -

I left the box unplugged overnight last night, so I'll see how it goes, if not a I'll do the rebuild.
