Crocus have climbers on offer at the moment. The evergreen clematis I mentioned is Clematis armandii and is pictured in their "Climbers" offer. Mine has finished flowering now but it's lovely when in flower.
I recommend the Crocus website if only for its research value. You can key in the aspect, what you want and it will find it for you.
I actually bought my clematis from them a couple of years ago and am delighted with it - it's grown up over my summerhouse now.
Another lovely climber, but deciduous, is a wisteria - many in full flower and looking wonderful at the moment.0 -
Oh and make sure the trellis is of the very sturdy type - not the flimsier ones - they have to hold quite a bit of weight.
These are the type I had in mind http://www.champfleurieestate.co.uk/acatalog/Panel_Tops_and_Post_Finials.php
Good luck.0 -
Hi, Its a shame that you are not in the south (SG6 postcode area). I have about 30 that I need to sell. They vary between 4 - 6 feet high. Fancy a drive down here ?0
