Recently posted a thread inquiring about student benefits
I got 5 replies in a row from anti-benefits people saying things like, and I quote:
Eventually I got some very good answers and the anti-benefits brigade were told to !!!! off.
In THIS thread MSE Martin talks about the phenomenon.
Thank you MSE Mod team for helping sort out the problem.
But still, I don't think people should be scared about asking questions because they are flamed by anti-benefits people.

On the same token, people should expect that a thread in general, could well be frequented by trolls, benefit bashers or pro\anti posters. The key is to not pay too much attention to the abusers in a thread and focus on the relevant answers to the post in question.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Yes woe betide you if you've fallen on stony ground in life, lost your job, split with your partner, had a child and the circumstances have changed, been evicted from your accommodation, fallen ill or any other unforeseen circumstances. These people have no sympathy and no advice other than you should have thought of that when you started out!0
