Has anyone heard from Soulie? She hasn't been on for 5 weeks now and I know she had been ill. I hope everything is ok.

well done on finishing your 13 makes tricksie, carry on telling us what youre making and of course we love seeing photos.

im working on the tinman part of my stocking this week, ive decided if i break it down into smaller goals i can complete other things along side it and not get bogged down with just one thing while the other fall to the side. i took on too many projects i think.

got tinman finished this afternoon (it was him or ironing so he won)

    Hi all,

I wish my trip back to MSE could be on a better note but unfortunately the circumstances I have returned are hard for me to post and will affect a few of you the same.

Many of you will know Soulie who started this thread. You will remember how we all helped her when the news of her brother hit herself and family and how she has bravely battled in and out of hospital in the last year.

I am very sad to post that she has sadly lost her long battle. I know you'll all want to join us in paying respects to her and her family during this time.

My initial idea was to send stitched candles in her memory, however I am unsure how this will be received. My suggestion now is therefore to ask anyone who wishes to to stitch/ craft a candle in her memory. I have asked for a flikr group/ subgroup to be set up where the photo's could be uploaded to?
sweetcarer has access to her facebook profile and will share the tribute on there and we can post it on the MSE cross-stitch facebook page (i don't know if you have a project one)??

Again apologies for being the barer of bad news (and sorry for those who feel this was not my place to post, I don't wish to upset anyone unnecessarily or step on toes).
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • Oh my goodness - what awfully sad news :( I wasn't expecting this at all. My thoughts and best wishes to her family xx
