Full central heating installation

Hey, newbie here – I hope I’m posting in the right places
Does anybody have any recommendations for good plumbers in the South Manchester area? I need a full central heating installation doing at some point soonish…
I live in a 3 bed terraced house which currently has a warm air central heating system (plus water heater) from Myson & situated down stairs in the centre of the house.
It’s a really old Heating system and really needs replacing.
I had approached my step-brother (plumber) to see how much I should be expecting to get the job done and he said about £2,500 before removal and making good.
This sounds good and he did offer to do the work but lives in Lincoln is a bit busy and is a bit useless in getting in touch
he’s not seen the house so still needs to give me a proper quote (was based on 6 rads – 2 doubles 3 singles & a towel rail).
I don’t want to pressure him into coming all this way if he’s busy so thought I’d get some other quotes if I can. If they are in a similar ballpark, I’ll go for that, if not, I can pester him again.
One thing I have come across, which wasn’t discussed with my brother… new boilers appear to be condensing boilers and therefore need waste pipes. My current heater does not have this (not situated on an external wall either, with a flue which goes right up the centre of the house) but it does heat then store the water in a storage tank directly upstairs. Can this be modified? - not sure if it has an overflow/drainage..I can go combi as well so this tank could be taken out as an option…Or is this going to cost extra to connect to the waste pipes?
Any ideas, advice or recommendations would be appreciated.
I don’t want to unnecessarily pay more than I need to (i.e. via British Gas) but I also understand that a bit of re-jigging is going to cost extra.
If it’s more than quoted above, then we would need some time to save up anyway.

I would be charging around £3500 + VAT.
Put your step-brother up for the week FOC and get him to do it at that price.0 -
£2.5k seems a very good price if you can get your brother to do the job. Has he mentioned which make & model of boiler he would supply for that?
I own a central heating franchise in Manchester and we would be charging anything from £3 - £3.5k depending on the boiler make.

Thanks guys, that's really helpful.
I only really see my brother at family gatherings when I travel up to Lincoln. We didn't go into the finer detail as it was only a quick chat and he offered to come over and do a quote.
I didn't want to hassle him too much with mailing and texting questions as I know it's really a favour. Plus I'm concerned that if there is a problem or it takes longer than expected to install, that he would have to potentially travel from Lincoln to sort - so I would like to keep my options open.
The quotes are really helpful and give me a good ballpark to work to as I still need to save the cash to get it done and would perfer the weather to be much better before the work starts. I'll have the money by the summer anyway.
£3-3.5k isn't significantly more and less than I was concerned it might be... I assume that would potentially cover removal of the old boiler? As from what I understood from John (my brother) that would likely be a separate cost.
Daniel/dti2k can you pm me your details? I know that the work won't need to be done for another c3-4 months at least but at least I've got some contacts in mind0
