Encryption Question

Hi everybody. What would you recommend to use instead of TrueCrypt to encrypt files and drives? I am needing something like TrueCrypt but without needing administrative rights to be able to use it with the files on my portable drive on other PCs.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

    If you get someone who does have admin privalidges to install truecrypt you will be able to run it although not make new partitions/change keys etc.

    I don't want to install anything on other people's computers. I just want to run a portable software from my flash drive to secure my files in case it gets lost. I also don't want to get an administrator whenever I am trying to open a document from my drive onto a PC.
    Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

    Ah I thought it was on one specific PC or group of PC's that you wanted to use it - will have a think as I'm sure I read about something else somewhere.
