Hi all, hoping someone could clear something up for me. Just looking to buy a laptop - not for me personally. The models they are interested in are the current HP deals in PC World. They are:
HP Pavilion g6-2210sa
Processor : Intel® Core? i5-3210M processor (2.5 GHz, 3.1 GHz with Turboboost, 3 MB L3 cache)
RAM : 6 GB
Graphics card : Intel HD Graphics 4000
Screen size : 15.6"
Hard drive : 1 TB (SATA, 5400 rpm)
AND
HP Pavilion g6-2219sa
Processor : Dual-Core AMD A4-4300M processor (2.5 GHz, 3.0 GHz with Turboboost, 1 MB L2 cache)
RAM : 6 GB
Graphics card : AMD Radeon HD 7420G Discrete-Class
Screen size : 15.6"
Hard drive : 1 TB (SATA, 5400 rpm)
There is £50 difference in the price but they only difference in the spec I can work out is that one has an AMD processor and one has an Intel i5 - Is this really worth paying an extra £50 for?
Thank you in advance!

In performance benchmarks the i5 is 1/3 faster than the AMD A4-4300M. Personally I'd go for the i5.If my post helped you in anyway, please hit the "Thanks" button! Please note any advice I give is followed at your own risk!0

Personally would get £400 A8-4500M instead.
I would suggest go for Lenovo if you want A4-4300m

Thank you for your help, it is mostly wanted for general browsing and gaming. He really wants to play Football manager 2013 but on his present toshiba computer with 1.6ghz processor speed it won't play well at all. If anyone has any other laptop suggestions I would be pleased to hear them. At the moment the i5 is looking the more likely choice. Thank you!0

System requirements include the following caveat:Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported.0 -
Warning on the first one - I bought the black version from PC World (g6-2212) and it had MAJOR keyboard flex around the arrow keys which made them very noisy and loose sounding. The plastic surround was also v loose and creaked when pressed. I returned it and got a refund. The display model was the exact same.0

The HP one is a brilliant package although if you look on amazon the same spec is cheaper online than in PC World.... I'll be honest PC world is a rip off just like currys.0

Thank you all for your advice and suggestion. Yes unfortunately it does have to be a laptop as he will be using it for work too. I think with regards to Football Manager lots of people have been having problems. I checked Can I Run This on another Toshiba computer in the household, this one has an Intel Pentium CPU B950 2.1ghz and it failed on dedicated video space although I installed it to check its performance and the game runs perfectly.0
