Sunmaster - avoid at all costs

Just some friendly advice and experience I have received within the last 24 hours.
I booked a holiday on Sunmaster last night as me and my partner saw this great deal to Teneriffe for a week for a total of £370 self catering. At the top of the website is says you can book within 4 clicks - Thats Brilliant! WRONG!
I go to book, I put in all my details on the website, I put my CREDIT CARD onto the website and at the end of the whole booking it says to me "THANK YOU FOR YOUR REQUEST".
So this is NOT a booking but a REQUEST only. They will then have to call you back to confirm your booking.
You don't receive a confirmation email for any request or booking you made. So i've gone contacted them and after waiting 20minutes on the line - they tell me Ive gone through to the wrong line - aparently I am still a New Booking customer even though I booked in last night.
So I have cancelled and gone to a company that is worth going to and has some reputation of good service or at the very least, if I book online it is booked.
Now all I am thinking about is why would you take credit card details if they are not being processed straight away? I am now thinking do I need to cancel my credit card for this?
I would avoid this company - the website says you can BOOK in 4 clicks and even the option to BOOK or REQUEST. Shabby and Shoddy website - AVOID AT ALL COSTS - You are better off paying the little bit extra and know you have actually booked a holiday.

I wish I had read this earlier, I am awaiting a call back from them too having book a few hours ago, can you just cancel it when they call you?
I rang them and they said when I am called just tell them I don't want it. I'll be removing any authority from the bank account also
I can't believe I put in my details and nothing came out from my bank, I knew this was too good to be true. I'll be going elsewhere also."All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered, the point is to discover them."

Hey coinsme,
Dont worry it seems straight forward to cancel.
I called them to cancel - they then rang up my partner 7 hours later to book and she told them to cancel. I am just waiting to see if they take money out of my CC and if they do then I will contact my CC to claim fraud as their website confirmed to me I have REQUESTED a holiday and not BOOKED.
My friend as used them last year and through all the rubbish they give you, he did get a good holiday at the end of it.
I am just annoyed of putting my CC details on a website and its not authorised there and then, I didnt' receive a confirmation for even a request. Finally why would I want to request a holiday. Im online booking for a holiday, im not debating about if I want to go or not. Id be looking at magazines and websites if I wanted to consider if I want to go on one or not.
Sorry every time I think about this, it really boils me, it is just totally unacaeptable and that goes for any other holiday makers as well that do this.0 -
They rang me yesterday and I explained that my girlfriend couldn't make the dates and I didn't want the holiday anymore, they said that was fine and to call them back if I ever wanted to request a new one.
The CC part is what aggrivated me also. We decided to just straight out book our flights to Faro now as they get really expensive from here after February time and just get a hotel from booking.com like I normally do. I think its going to cost £18 extra but at least I know we are booked and going.
Sunmaster basically wanted to do for me what I could do myself.
Yeah why would you request one? What would the point be in that online of all things where there are hundreds of companies vying for your custom."All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered, the point is to discover them."
