I assume all these protesters will wait till they return home from their work before blocking the roads??

    Not work, school.

    For some, primary school.
  • I see some numpty has also been caught on camera rioting in their Translink Uniform ! Muppet !!

Sorry - muppet is way too mild! I hope they can identify and sack him/her. The rioters have damaged thousands of pounds worth of Translink property and vehicles never mind the disruption to their schedules - it beggars belief that an employee would participate in such thuggery.

Worth keeping this in perspective - the hospitality sector was in diffs before the protests, businesses are closing where there are no protests and particularly the early part of 2013 was always going to be challenging anyway.

The protests have made it worse for sure but a lot of these jobs would have gone anyway.

Theyu should never have started. It was 17 days a year when I was at school and as far as I'm concerned anything more than that without good reason is only to annoy people from the community.

Apparently there are only 3 Town Halls in the entire UK which flys the Union Flag 365 Days a year, all others just fly it on the Designated Days (What's the odds these were all in Northern Ireland) :rotfl:

I agree. They're making a statement which doesn't need to be made and it's undermining the confidence of some members of the community.

Not that I'm naive enough to ignore what the others are up to by trying to make the province appear more Irish than it is. The GFA is clear that this is a British country and will remain so until the deomographics change enough for a positive referendum in favour of reunification. Some people want that to look at is it's happening now - which is isn't, not by a long chalk.

In the meantime they need to wise up over the fleg and stop shoving it down the throats of pro-Irish members of the community.
