Check your final bill carefully when switching
A word of warning when switching energy suppliers.
Having switched my gas and electric supplier I received my final bills from my old supplier and was about to pay them but then thought that I had better check that the final readings corresponded to the start readings with my new company.
They did not and I am so glad that I checked because my old company are trying to bill me on higher readings than my new company provided them with.
My new company insist that they provided my old company with the readings but my old company are denying this.
What a shambles.

Just follow either suppliers complaint procedure.
The final readings of one supplier must always be the same as the start readings of the new supplier.
You were both right to check. Too much Christmas sherry perhaps?0 -
