not even sure if this is the right board, hope it is.
Existing long-standing VM customer (aged parents have phone, TV & BB) & Dad wants to watch "his" football team when they're playing away or he can't get to home matches. Live and in full, not just the highlights some hours later. I've just gone round in circles on the VM website so I rang sales but still totally confused - they offered ESPN for an extra £8pcm but couldn't tell me what ESPN broadcast, other than football!
So someone please help, is it likely to give my Dad what he wants? If not, any (legal) suggestions please?

If you can't think of anything nice to write, say nothing. Rudeness isn't clever.

Now why didn't I think of that?
But as someone who's never been to a football match in her life, with no intention to start, I'm still none the wiser. Each Saturday afternoon can a VM ESPN subscriber watch any UK football league football match live, or does ESPN only televise some of them?If you can't think of anything nice to write, say nothing. Espn broadcast 1 premier league game live most Saturdays at 5.00pm, they also do F.A. cup games
your best checking the ESPN web site for exactly what sports they cover
sky seem to have the monoply on football with 1 game early on Saturday afternoon, then 1 or 2 games on a Sunday, followed by 1 game sometimes on a Monday evening
again have a look on sky's website for exact coverage
virgin charge for a sky sports package
also for a ESPN package0 -
Thanks everyone, seems as if what my Dad wants isn't available legally. If you can't think of anything nice to write, say nothing. Rudeness isn't clever.0

If your dad is on Virgin XL package ESPN is included, sadly it wont give your dad what he wants as he will not be able to select the game he can watch. If you do Sky sports with Virgin you can watch your team as long as it is a premier team on match choice were you can choice the game you want to watch, but that wont be live0

you might want to post on this thread for more info with Virgin

I think what you want used to be available, but alas no more, you used to be able to just "buy" the game you wanted and watch it. used to be around £8 a game, and would be shown as a "box office" viewing. I used to do this ( about 5-10 yrs ago mind!), and was on virgin at the time (or maybe telewest.) no longer able nowCopy from one, it’s plagiarism; copy from two, it’s research.0
