Solar ... In the news

Read back through your contributions. Yo have steadfastly rubbished solar farms and championed sub 4kWp systems on roofs - justifying the high FIT.
Yet you claim to have never changed your argument??
Wouldn't it be easier if you just ignored my posts? It is not mandatory for you to add your comments to every post.
Incidentally, do you not feel that your responses to your 'mates' are just a touch sycophantic! 'Zeup, sorry, great thread' Yuk!
Nope, never rubbished solar farms, just explained why every part of your argument that FITs should support farms and not domestic is 'rubbish'.
Unlike you, I don't need to create division. Nothing wrong with farms, but viability wise, they'll be one step behind domestic, which in turn, is one step behind commercial roof mounted.
Clearly, after your usual pause, you feel the need to start another distraction argument, but as always, it's an argument you can't win. PV is here, it's accelerating, and FITs were the main driver in speeding up progress.
It's time to move on, your campaign has failed. All the best 'matey' with the next one.
Mart.
PS. What is your solution to our energy needs, and CO2 reduction targets? After all, I'm sure you are bored with the easy option of criticising everything, and would welcome the far, far trickier challenge of actually being constructive, for a change. M.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

I think their posts are steadfastly rubbishing you, not solar farms.=spgsc531After a short time here, I've decided to ignore grahamc2003 and cardew. They ignore questions, or only answer in a way to suit them.
Seems you changed your mind.
Thought you were not inclined to read old threads?
You and Martyn go well together!0 -
Like I say, changing your mind is a charachteristic you share with Martyn.0

Can we have a whip round to get Mart and cardew together for a pint and have it filmed for YouTube... :-)0

So, ignoring the ever more desperate attempts at disruption, let's have some solar news, this time from the US of A:
First, roll outs of (lovely) PV farms - 'USA hot on Europe’s heels as global utility PV hits 9GW'
http://www.renewableenergyfocus.com/view/30481/usa-hot-on-europe-s-heels-as-global-utility-pv-hits-9gw/
Secondly a university based install - 'Panasonic completes University of Colorado PV system'

"The 500 kW ground-mounted solar panels will provide clean energy power generation to both research facilities and buildings throughout the Boulder campus."
There's something about powering research facilities with renewables that points to a brighter future!

Solar PV, the UK's undisputed favourite renewable energy source is being lined up to save the faltering Greed Deal(sic) which is suffering an image problem...

Seems not for the reason you stated:

"Consumers are being warned they face higher energy bills as the UK becomes more reliant on energy imports."0
