Ordered groceries on Friday for delivery today.
It came 3/4 hour early - not a problem as such.
However the order was not correct - 2 items were substituted and both were wrongly charged.
3 x sausages 12 pack cost offer was 3 for £10 - charged me £11.70 as they gave me 6 x 6 pack same thing instead.
Potatoes were £1.30 sub cost £2 they charged £1.95.
And last but not least - their highly advertised 50p items - kingsmill bread site charged me 2 for £2, when it should have been 4 for £2.
Refund in full for bread and potatoes and the £1.70 for the sausages, which I think is £6.65 refund. Other than that I was happy with products. Had not used them for some time though. So for anyone ordering one of those 50p items watch the order to make sure it comes out right.

I had to check the receipt and the items I actually received every week. There was always something missing but I was still charged for. Stuff like washing powder and chicken. And rediculous claims of other things not being in stock. They would say there were things like baked beans and bread out of stock, utter ballcocks, just lazy staff.
Gave up in the end0 -
Yes I think you may be right on some staff being lazy. The ones I see in Tesco/Sainsbury are always up and down the isles, but I had not been to ASDA or used them for over a year. The store is quite large and I am not able to walk very far, hence on line shops. It is also 16 miles away so not really economic to drive there petrol wise - so I went for £3 delivery slot.0

I agree that they are lazy; have often had things substituted on my orders and you know it's just because they can't be bothered to look properly! Have also had some silly substitutions - last week they tried to give me feta cheese instead of the soft goats cheese that I ordered! I wouldn't mind, but they have lots of different goats cheese in my store so if the one I wanted was out of stock there were more suitable alternatives!0

These supermarkets are using slave labour - people forced to work through the nights for just their £71 a week JSA.
This is going to lead to 'hiccups' in all sort of areas. . . . .0 -
I stopped shopping with Asda after half my orders were out of stock on the day. It was ridiculous. I always stick to Tesco now unless Ocado or Waitrose send me voucher offers via email. Never Sainsburys, I find they are outrageous with their out of stock ramblings too.
Today Tesco arrived with 5 substitutions, all priced correctly and matched, that was all fine with me. But when I read 'mature cheddar, out of stock no substitute available' WHAT? No sub for cheese? Its cheese for goodness sake! Last week they substituted scissors with blu-tack... Go figure! The Year Of DreamsBig Love To All Comp Sharers

My mother says back in the 80s you wouldn't have earned £71 per week working full time as a silver service waitress with tips included nor working with horses. On the other hand, my husband was earning more than JSA now as a teenager doing paper rounds before and after school in a big factory.0 -
I have done a few shops with them over the last few months. It was excellent to start with, hardly any subs and those that were were acceptable ones. The last couple of times it has come from a different shop and there have been quite a few subs, most were poor and were returned. Not sure if I will use them again.0

Some staff must just have a laugh putting the order together.
I must admit I'd probably chuck the odd daft replacement in too if I was working there. Hmm, I can't be arsed to go get some free range eggs. Here, have some Cadbury's Cream Eggs instead. It lightens an otherwise dull, monotonous day.0 -

On the other hand job security in a day and age where most people are worried about being made redundant. Opportunities to progress if your inclined, lots of overtime too......again if you want it.0
