Is it still there and working, but waiting to fall into disuse, or has it already been closed down ?
The Radio Teleswitch Service [RTS] on BBC’s 198 kHz long wave network was to be replaced with smartmetering infrastructure [DCC (via the Data Services Provider] which was to become the primary mechanism for dynamic switching. This never happened. Anyone in the industry know what is sending the switch signal to the 2 million households on E7 or E10 who depend on it ? Or have they just moved both clock switched & teleswitched meters to a static or semi static regime ?

I can't find any concrete statements, but I did find notes of recent maintainance.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_teleswitch also notes this.
(well, recent in 2008).
http://alancordwell.co.uk/radio/teleswitch5.html is an interesting article on the format that indicates it was working in 2009.
There is even a BS.

Thanks Roger, all pre the switch over. I just wondered if an industry insider or rep wanted to comment. I'm on an AMPY and mine is [apparently] still working ok, but then I'd never know if they have switched us all to static or semi static.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion.
