Books for CHildren charging more than RRP

Now i know these book clubs are scams usually!!! But i buy a lot of children books for my own family and as gifts. I ordered a book which was apparantly a saving of £8 from RRP price. So charged £12.99. On recieving book it says printed on the back that the RRp is £10.99.
Im straight on the phone pointing this out and saying how bad they are for doing it and they have reduced my bill to £8. But now im left wandering how many times this has happened before, and how much i've paid over the odds.

My sister has just finished with this company, when she would tell me what she was buying I could always find it considerably cheaper somewhere on net, so she left them. I used to be with world books many years ago and noticed they're also owned by the same company as books for children. Looking back I know I always paid far too much with them but at the time didn't know.
Personally I stick to the book people (for my DD books) and sometimes amazon and tesco. These bookclubs offer good starter packages then just rip you off afterwards. I'd steer well away.
