    Why not put windows 8 pro on them. It is only £25 for the upgrade and you can get a £10 voucher off this price by filling in a form online (which I am assured is not verified).
    I would stick a copy of xp on each one using an old xp coa (there are thousands around) and the upgrade reformats the hard drive and puts a clean install of windows 8 on.
    You can also get the media centre free until the end of Jan.
    Result is windows 8 pro plus the media centre for £15!
    I would guess that these would fetch more than laptops with windows 7 on through eBay.
    I am sure this may be seen as naughty and I have not tried it, but if I had a load of laptops I certainly might try it out.
    Plus you can sell with a coa windows 8 key which is unique and genuine.
