I'm having a problem when I turn on my computer, here's what happens.

I open up the computer and before I start any programs six blank Firefox pages open automatically. Firefox is my browser of choice. The pages have different url attached here's one: file:///D:/Dreamweaver/Adobe%20Dreamweaver%20CS5.5/configuration/Startup/SpryInit.htm

Dreamweaver also opens up and it seems to have two pages of Javascript one with a file name of helpDocs.js and the other with a file name of RecordseFind.js. I've no idea what they are doing there or how to get rid of the. Can someone advise?

For the record I've ran superantispyware and Microsoft Security Essentials and nothing has shown.

As always many thanks for your help

Kevin

  • Might need a bit more info.

Have you tried a system restore yet?

Best thing to do (unless someone has experienced this before and know what it is), is click start and then type msconfig.exe

Once that's open, see if there are any odd-looking startup programs running that you haven't asked it to run.

Assuming that you have Dreamweaver installed, is there something within its menu system that you might have switched on that wasn't on previously?
I love adventures. Unfortunately, I don't get to go on them nearly enough. My simple solution? - To indulge in the digital artefacts of the adventures of others. Feel free to indulge in them with me.

Yep Dreamweaver was there at the opening, eight files, so I just disabled them and problem seems to have been cleared up. Maybe it had something to do with Dreamweaver been on my Dock.

    Many thanks
