Exeter is a lovely city to explore and you are not far from Dartmoor which is an absolute must, the kids will love it!!

We live in Lyme Regis, lovely sandy beach at one end, 20 mins from Honiton. Lots of places to eat and you should visit Alices Bear shop. A lot of the other beaches are pebbles. Escot Gardens is nice if you like woods and outdoors stuff, escot-devon.co.uk. Kids would love Farway Park, countrysideparkfarway.co.uk. Great for younger ones.

Would not recommend Crealy with smaller ones though its fantastic for slightly older kids.

Can tell you loads to do, walks, towns etc, depends on what you like to do?

We visit Paignton Zoo every year, went 2 weeks ago to see the new baby Rhino, Our 7 and 3 year old love it. Needs a full day though but had carvery on the way back for £3.95 each so no cooking, yeah!
Too many children, too little time!!!

  • pennywell farm is good for kids, my wife works in a playschool and they take the kids there every year. they can feed the animals, hold little chicks, there's a playground, donkey rides, lilttle train. all good. its near buckfastleigh off the A38 which the M5 turns into further south of Exeter, about 45 mins from honiton tops but worth it. i think its about £8 for adults to enter.

its actually £9.50 for adults, does your 3 year old look 2? check this out http://www.pennywellfarm.co.uk/

Only trouble with diggerland is the cost, not too much to get in but you have to pay for each ride, ends up a very expensive day out.
