Investment Clubs - Do they Exist?

Does anyone know anything about Investment Clubs?
I have searched the internet before and found a site where I could include my name so that so that I could be invited to join a club. But no-one had ever invited me - sigh, sigh, sigh!
Have seen plenty of info about setting up a club and software you can buy to help run a club, but do these clubs actually exist?

themoneybag.com set up a share club last June
http://shareclub.themoneybag.com/
and, although it currently has a full quota of members (20), vacancies can and do occur.
If you're not already a member of TMB, probably a good idea to join beforehand (good idea anyway

It's basically where a group of people, usually friends, get together and invest in the stock market.

Some years ago since I was secretary of one that met monthly in a pub. Great fun, but you do need to be with a group which has the same aims (even if you argue about particular shares, which is half the fun!). Make sure you have a legal agreement in place in case of people dropping out, newbies coming in, insurmountable problems etc. The link isasmurf gave above is the best source of info, suggested wording etc. (We cashed in just before market crash:-) )0

Many financial websites that have a discussion forum usually have a few investment clubs.. Just a group of investers that have been discussing for awhile who decide to take things a bit further. Check out motleyfool.com and sharecrazy.co.uk they are a couple of investment website that i use frequently. I have considered joing one in the past but decided i like to have more freedom over my investment decissions. Like today i bought Woolworths at 38p after there big drop. i'm sure a lot of investors in a investment club would not of agreed with me.You Can, If You Think You Can!0
