Need some advice here.
I have an iMac on which I installed Windows 7 via bootcamp.
This is a retail version of windows 7 purchased legitimately from apple store.
The imac HD failed. I have paid to get it replaced. All the macOS partition was put back but I lost the Windows partition.
Rather than reinstall this on the same imac, I wanted to install it on my macbook.
Installed fine but not activating.
Is there a way do do this?
Before anyone says, I have perused the microsoft web site and found it very difficult to find relevant info.
Thanks for any advice

Does it fail before 'enter codes', or says code invalid?
I've had this a couple of times where the Windows (older version), doesn't understand the Mac architecture quite right, and requires a Linux type solution, ie on a simple basis - it's looking for a ps/2 keyboard, and the USB drivers haven't been installed yet for the keyboard to function. As I say in it's simplest form. A driver it needs hasn't been loaded yet that it needs before it installs the next bit. Depends on how, where and on what it fails on. Please give full information?
Otherwise, if all is good hardware wise, and you can write the code in, ring the MS helpline to validate the code.0
