problem with Window updates .......

Options
for about a month now have been trying to install list of 14 updates .. but once done and restarted get a message

" failure confguring windows updates , revertin changes, do not turn off"

then it appears to uninstall them .

Tried to cut n paste the list of 14 .. has come out far more detailed ....as follows !! ..

Cause ... and cure ... ? Help ! thanks .

  • My suggestion - when you start Windows Update, select the custom option and just choose to install one update. Clear the others, and just start at the top. After you've done the first couple, see if you can do the rest in one go.

    I had a similar problem myself a while back; this solved it. I can only assume that two of the updates clashed with each other and caused the process to stop.
  • dogmaryxx Thank You!! ran that , it said it identified & sorted a couple of issues .. then re ran the updates .. all done fine .

    Once again .. much appreciated techie help here .

    I had a major problem installing windows 7 updates when i first got my computer.

    It turned out that a program, Teatimer (the real-time monitor installed with Spybot Search & Destroy) was the issue. Deactivating the program solved the issue
