best digital signal booster?

i have an old labgear digital tv signal booster which is now getting near pension age and was hoping someone can tell me which is the strongest and best signal booster anyone can recommend?

    You would be better advised to fit a better external aerial, all your booster is doing is amplifying noise. If you are using the booster to distribute the signal round various TVs there are lots on the market.
    That gum you like is coming back in style.

    Do you mean an aerial amplifier or a distribution amplifier? The first amplifies the signal directly from the aerial. The second provides a way to connect (for example) a Sky Digibox to several TV sets.

    OK, so you need a low-noise masthead amplifier. The usual type requires a power supply to be fitted at some (any) point in the drop cable. See my previous link above for details. How much gain do you need? (If you don't know then it might be best to get one with a variable gain control).
