Bird Food

At B & M today Bird seed 12.75kg for £4.99.....39.14p per kg.

Is this a good price?.....Have been paying 20kg for £8.95...44.75kg.

    I think it depends what the ingredients are. they tend to bulk it with lots of oats and usually no ingredients can be found on the packaging. Lard in your own fat balls, though expensive actually make super fat balls.
    is it for wild birds or caged ?

    For wild birds, fjonski, have two feeders and a table. Do use melted lard with bird seed. This stuff at B&M does look very mixed.
    Sparrows mainly with blackbirds starlings and pigeons. Also have large compost heap so ground feeders don't go hungry.
    Nearly bought a window feeder, the sort that sticks to the pane of glass. Then I thought about the mess close to the house.

    its £8.99 at aldi at the moment for 12.75 kg - i expect and hope that it is good quality!
