Motorbike insurance - more than one named driver?

Hi, my son is 16 soon and wants to get a motorbike to use on the road. I did my CBT many years ago and was thinking of going through the training at the same time as my son does his and possibly contributing to the cost of his bike in return for occasional usage.

I was wondering, can you have more than one named rider on a motorbike insurance policy as you can have on a car policy? Also, as I am considerably older than my son, would this bring the cost of the policy down as it would if it were a car policy? (I realise it is illegal to do this with express intention of getting the policy for less but am wondering whether it still works like this?).

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Bike policies can be more restrictive compared to car policies from a few years back. But you should be able to add as many riders as you want.

Had no issues putting my name to my brother in laws policy. Despite living miles apart.
