Self assessment professional subscriptions

Hello
Just filling out my self assessment tax form online with deadline looming.
I cannot see anywhere to put in professional subscriptions as a deduction. I know I can claim as a deduction as I have done in the past but just cannot find the right part of the online form to enter them.
Has anyone any ideas?
Thanks

If you are employed it is on the Employment page, Employment Expenses - box 19

I have finally found it!! Under royalties. I am an employee. With the new rules on child benefit coming in there will be lots more people doing self assessment I reckon. Well good luck to them I find it very difficult.

By the way I know the guidelines say it is in box 19. But if you are doing the form online there is no box 19. At least not on my form.

    I don't think that right.

It should be called "Professional fees and subscriptions" even if it doesn't have a number.

NO NO - that is on the main body of the return and is incorrect.

It goes in the profession subscriptions PAID box of the employment pages - nowhere else!

I am sorry but there is -

Do you wish to claim any employment expenses or capital allowances while working? Have you a 'Yes' in this section?

Then, go to employment, employment expenses, professional fees and subscriptions.

I have just completed this section this morning!

Well thanks, I really do appreciate your comments. I must be thick though as I spent 2 hours yesterday trying to find any heading like that! In the end I put it under "uk royalties and annual payments" and have submitted it. No doubt the tax man will be after me like a shot if its wrong. At the end of the day I am just trying to honestly pay the tax I owe unlike some big corporations we could mention.....
