I keep getting sent a barcleys card offer, with 0% balance transfer ect, and I wondered, can i take them up on this offer and then transfer the balance on my husbands barcley card over to mine?
that way I can cut out the intrest on his card.?
we are seeing an adviser for natwest next week to see about transfering to their 0% but i just wondered, as Barcleys is coming up as the best balance transfer offer currently.?

You can't usually transfer from a Barclaycard to a Barclaycard.
Try phoning them and asking.

... but if you have another credit card, you could transfer the balance there first, then back to our barclaycard account.

As I read it OP does not currently have a Barclaycard merely getting offers to apply.thenudeone wrote: »... but if you have another credit card, you could transfer the balance there first, then back to our barclaycard account.

So if her credit rating merits applying for a new card it would be better if she got a card other than Barclaycard.
As others have posted she needs to know that his debt becomes hers and she is solely responsible for repayment.0
