child benefit

Dont want shooting down for asking this question, as nobody knows my circumstances, but, if i inform child benefit that i no longer receive my child benefit as husband earns over the threshold, will i loose my csa too.

We both have previous families, i only receive a set amount a month of my husband, so i will miss my child benefit. I certainly cant afford to loose my csa payments too.

Thank you

Hi, Your husband's income whilst affecting CB should have no impact on CSA child maintenance is calculated on the child's fathers income only.

Thank you, i just thought, that csa, is based "loosely" around, cb,,, so if i have no cb csa will cancel my payments, by the way my daughter is 12.

Personally I'd keep it to avoid hassle with CSA. Yes CSA is based on you getting CB but you can get CSA without CB. You'll need to notify CSA when your child leaves school as it may not automatically stop.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
