  • Hi Almond

I recently bought a Bosch from www.clearance-comet.co.uk who sell ex-display or returned items.

It tells you exactly the damage to the machine, for example...scratch on right hand side...mark on door... but it is only ever superficial damage and mine had hardly any noticeable marks at all!

I got the Bosch (on recommendation that it is second to Miele for quality) for £270 plus £29.99 del. and it is amazing!

Only way I could afford such a machine.

You can, however, get other makes at much cheaper prices.

    Best of luck!

thb honest i've got a Beko in my rented flat and its still working fine after 2 years. If i was to buy a new one it would be an LG, Direct Drive & 2 years warranty and minimum 7.5kg load, WM12336FD £329.99 at Currys

This is a brilliant washing machine - we bought one after having both a Zanussi and a Hotpoint pack up in a few years. As far as I know the best brands for washing machines are Miele, Bosch and LG - Zanussi used to be good but, from my own experience and word of mouth, it seems that they don't last anywhere near as long as they used to. We were told by someone in the know - that the German and Korean brands are the best built and longest lasting but that as they are often the ugliest looking (those companies believing more in content rather than style) and more expensive they are often overlooked.

  • i needed a new machine as my servis washer broke down after 3 years. i went for the hotpoint aquarius from my littlewoods catalogue. i opted for the 1000 spin speed which was £239, this was upgraded to a 1400 spin speed for no extra charge and i had a 10% code which made it £218.00.

thanks for help when you say this is a brillant machine do you mean the beko?
    or the lg?
I am still unsure but have been looking at the beko and you can get them for
about £180 for a good spin speed
