Secondly what gives anyone the right to tell me what a suitable amount is to spend on a car

It is a crazy amount for a car when your slary wouldnt cover your current debts plus the new debt of 15k.

    Be realistic.

Would you get like this if a Bank Manager told you No to a loan ?

    Right let's get things straight.

You are all giving opinions on things I have not asked for.

Firstly what gives anyone the right to tell me whether I have a debt problem?

Secondly what gives anyone the right to tell me what a suitable amount is to spend on a car?

I asked one question around how likely it would be that I would be accepted and you all start saying I've got major debt problems and that I need to get my life sorted.

Ahh well, I know that my life is happy (debt ridden or not!). I'm sure your all the same sitting behind your computer screens giving your "perfect world" opinions in your very own perfect lives. Good luck to you.

Now then, can someone point me in the right direction to unregister on this forum?

Don't worry and ignore all this good advice, the lightbulb should glow brightly at some point. Unfortunately it might be too late.

I would think you would be lucky to get your £15k loan to borrow your next car.

I love the fact that everyone thinks I am "spitting my dummy out". That is absolutely not the case. I'm not bothered about being told I am unlikely to get the loan. Do you people not see that what I am frustrated with is being told, "you're silly to go for the loan", "you have a massive debt problem", "you should buy a cheaper car", "why would you want to spend £10k on a wedding?". Why are you being so judgemental? Why does anyone think they have the right to sit there and say this much or that much should be spent on a car or a wedding? I can understand why the MSE put the newbie icon in all new users profile, it's a pity no one takes notice of it!

You're still wet behind the ears but you will come round eventually.

Might just take a long time.

If you regard having general debt at the same level as a pretty decent annual salary then not a problem. At least not my problem, your problem.

Enjoy the next car your borrow.

LMAO, this forum should have a comedy section, you'd fit right in there.

Send me a private message and I'll tell you which store I run. You are free to come and speak to any of my staff and ask them if I either need or have tried to impress them or have ever bullied them.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear, you really are a long way off aren't you.

You're frustrated because at the moment, you can't see what we can.

That your attitude to debt needs to change before you get into serious financial problems. You were considering taking on debt which was equal to your annual salary ! Does that not worry you at all ?

Yes it's nice to have a big wedding and honeymoon, yes it's nice to have a lovely house and furniture and 2 cars, have you ever thought about saving for these things ?

There are some absolute horror stories on here about people just like you, take a look around the DFW board. At least by asking for advice they're doing something about it but wouldn't it have been better if they'd accepted advice first ? Learn from other peoples mistakes.

I speak to people like you every day at work, i've never had anyone say to me they're really glad they took out loans/overdrafts/credit cards and now can't repay them because they have a new baby/have lost their job/had a cut in overtime or bonus.

Live within your means and you'll never have any problems.
