  • Who, in their right mind, would spend £300 or even £150 on chocolate? It's totally ludicrous.

    I would,
It's perfectly afffordable for me so who are you to say I'm not in my right mind?

I think people who spend hundreds of thousands of pounds over the lifetime of a child are out of their mind. Actually I don't - I'm jsut making the point.
People spend money on cigareets, booze, handbags, dresses, jewelry, clothes, cars etc.
Who are you to question their spending choices if they can afford it?

If they can't afford it then that's a different question.
Perhaps time to be less judgemental?

I see it as purely my decision what I want to spend money on if it's affordable and hurting no-one (including the NHS). I'm sure many men don't understand handbag/shoe spending, but that doesn't mean all women are out of their mind :-)

Just ordered myself half a dozen. That's a snip at the original price. Make sure you pop in when you pass for a chocolate. :rotfl:

To be fair I'd rather have this stuff anytime. This year was the first year I have not bought tins of chocolate for Christmas. I just got myself three good quality trays of chocolate. You can taste the difference and you do not need to eat them like a horse like many people do with tins as they are very rich and made with good quality ingredients as apposed to Nestle Quality Street. *Other tins of chocolate are available too* :D

I can afford it as well, but I also think that it's ludicrous to spend £300 or even £150 on chocolate. :D .....and I am not being judgemental! ;)
  • Surely you would need to know whether or not you liked the make before buying that amount of chocolate. There are numerous makes I can't stand - both luxury and cheaper.
  • Surely as it's a money saving site, someone should take the time to drive to Huntingdon and visit the factory shop where all this Xmas stuff will be available at well below the price shown on the website in the sale - £150 would more than pay for a tank of petrol.:rotfl:

Have to ask if it's now worth only £150, what are Hotel Chocolat doing asking for £300 in the first place:eek:

And I'm not judgemental - I just visit the shop whenever I have an excuse to go past lol

I wouldn't say no to being given a chocolate hamper like this, I love Hotel Chocolat... yum!

Sadly, not really rich enough to be able to flutter £150 on choccy but hope that those who take advantage enjoy their yummy stash ;)
