Center Parcs occupancy question

Have organised a big family do at Center Parcs Longleat for next month for 5 households sharing 3 villas. Have just found out my sister is now bringing an extra person and is planning on her (almost) 3 year old sleeping in a ready bed which means there will be 1 too many in the villa.

So how likely is it that she'll get away with this?

Well once you get in to your villa you should be ok. They have a drive thru check in system at Elveden so I assume it will be the same system a Longleat.

They do actually count you in when you go through check in, so i think its unlikely she'll get away with it. The only way would have been to lie about the young ones age, and make out he/she was under 2 so would be in a cot, and not using a bed.

We have been to all of the Center Parcs several times, although it a few years since we last went and quite a while since we stayed at Longleat. We always had too many people for the villa, but as we arrived in 3 cars I think it was difficult to check. I also seem to remember it was possible to park up before the drive through check in, or even avoid it altogether if the lead member had checked in, or tell them that the lead member had been throgh and checked in, in which case I think they just asked for the villa number. I have a vague recollection that at one of the Parcs there was a card system for getting in the pool, but again this did not present a problem. As I say it was a few years ago so things may have changed.

We were there in January and it wasnt in effect then :)

I would go with the " the child is in a cot" suggestion

The staff are quite keen of this. But then what you are doing actually amounts to fraud.

The safest way of getting in is to check in saying another car is coming later with the rest of the party ( and split the party into 2 cars).
Or one family check in ( with correct number of people). Then drive out and pick up the extra person. You can then drive back in as you will have the week number sticker for your car that the gate staff check to just wave you back through the barrier.
It depends on the village though ( i haven't been to Longleat , so i'm not sure of the procedure there). At whinfell you can drive straight to the car park and offload passengers before driving to check-in. At sherwood check in is before you can get to the car park.
