Scam PPi Text

Options
Had a text at 1.30am stating I had not claimed my £1700 PPi, and to text back to them 'PPi'.

What idiots text people at that time of the morning? There was a telephone number shown from the sender
07500747181

Searching online I found it belongs to someone called Shaina Ross from Southcoates East,

Be on your guard!!

That person does not appear to be on the register of authorised businesses at the MOJ.

I suggest you report this to consumer@claimsregulation.gov.uk

Keep the text for now as they may want to see it.

Actually I have just found this site, which allows you to send an SMS to an e-mail address so I suppose you could forward it there.

Forward it to 7726 (or 87726 for Vodafone or 37726 for 3).

They will then block the number.
  • Thank you for that advice Magpie. I have still got the message on my phone, just did not know who should be aware of this.

Will report it to the address you have given and forward details to vodaphone too.
