Separate forum for tablets?

Am I the only one who thinks there are enough tablets around to warrant separate forum to 'techie stuff' or Mobile Forums?
When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?
Do we need a separate forum for tablets? 54 votes

What would be the point? Where would this end? If you had a specific and separate forum for each person's pet interest(s) there would be hundreds if not thousands of them. Somewhat impractical...0

What would be the point?
So that the 547381890560843821647816784 new owners this year could discuss tabletsWhere would this end?
Not suggesting you have a forum for "Yellow smarties" (2 posts per year)
Popularity/posts would determined where it ended
Where does it start is what I want to know
I say 47832167015432 tablet owners is a good placeWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -
I'm not convinced - if there was a separate forum for every bit if tech kit you'd have to trawl loads to cover your interests.0

It would probably be more useful to have a sticky at the top of the Techie board for explaining the different types of tablet and the pros/cons. Hopefully, this would stop the never ending 'What tablet to get' posts, or at least give people a place to direct those questions to.0

Could have articles like, 'How to look a complete pillock by taking photos with your iPad in public'That gum you like is coming back in style.0

What might be handy would be a dropdown subject area prefix which could be selected by posters. Obviously there would need to be an "Other" option as you'd never predict everything but it might cut down on posts where it's impossible to determine what it might be about without opening the topic and reading it (my answer to these is to simply ignore them).0

I'm actually really interested in techy stuff, and I read/post on MSE forums every single day - but I never read MSE 'Techy' forum - its too diverse - so i tend to read techy stuff on DS where they have actually got a forums for mobiles, gaming, pvrs and now a new one for tablets (me and prolly couple hundred thousand others) - hence my postWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -
I didn't agree with a new forum of Google OS, but there might be something in there for a tablet forum, but then I'd almost suggest that the Techie forum is completely redone to include Mobile Techie as well. If you browse the mobile forum, there is a fair chunck of technical questions over there, that maybe don't benefit from people over here that could add advise to.
Perhaps expand it more down into-
Techie Stuff
- Computing
- Desktop
- Laptop/Netbook/Notebook
- Mobile Phones
- Tablets
- Computer/Internet Hardware
With the main Techie forum being for any other techie question. Like recently we've had questions about tumble driers, or cars, or anything else linked to technology, but not in the main 4.0 - Computing

Theres already mobile forum
Just need a seperate tablet and computer forum
Dont need to separate laptop from desktop just because they're different shape - even tech forums dont separate them because the operation and discussion applies to both equallyWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0
