internal aerial or loft aerial may work depending on location, the signal is stronger after switchover.
you could also get free to air channels via satellite dish via sky box or freesat

Is it physically not possible to install an external aerial, or are you just trying to save money/hassle by not installing one? If you can't/won't install one, then you can get an indoor one as closed suggests. Alternatively, you could get cable (Virgin) if you have cable available in your area.
However, I assume you've got a dish for sky, so you should be able to get freesat easy enough. In fact, I think you can still use your sky box to watch the freeview channels after you cancel. If for some reason you have to give it back, you can probably get a cheap freesat set top box for less than <£50 I'm guessing.0 -
Just get a Humax Freesat HD box to replace your Sky box. You will then get all the Freesat channels with PVR functions0

Cancel Sky and you will still get all the Freesat From Sky channels for no ongoing cost at all. However if you want PVR functions you'll need a Freesat PVR.
The Freesat/!!!!!!/Freeview channel line-up is not identical, but broadly similar.
You may get Freeview with an indoor aerial, but rarely so. Little point in trying if you already have a working dish and LNB.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

What he said. If they let you keep the box, use it. If not, there's reconditioned ones all over eBay and other places for way less than £50....0 -
When you cancel your sky subscription you will continue to receive free to air channels through your dish and box. This is your best option. If you want to receive terrestrial digital instead then you will need an aerial. There is no way of telling whether it will need to be indoors or out from your postcode, because it is very dependent on the aspect of your property. If you cant afford a survey, connect up a cheap aerial and see what happens. Like I say, staying with the dish is your best option, since you will get a lot more channels than through terrestrial. If a man does not keep pace with his companions, then perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far away. thoreau0
