Downloading Office product...

Rarely on this part of the forum, but wondering if someone tech savvy (or even just a modicum of common sense) could help me.
In 2009 I purchased a downloadable copy of Microsoft Office Enterprise through work. It had two choices - online or CD; I chose online. Downloaded fine, and got a back up CD just in case. It allowed multiple downloads.
I now have a new laptop and want to install Office on here (no CD drive). However, I cannot find the page to do this, which seems to have the right product. I've tried various, but get an error message, saying the product isn't eligible for a free download.
The CD is described as a back up for Office Enterprise UK. I no longer have the computer to look at any version details etc.
Am I being utterly stupid? (Very possible.)
Thanks if anyone can help.

Do you have the original confirmation email to link form?
Alternatively, have you got access to another pc from which you can load the cd onto a USB drive?
Alternatively you can get USB CD ROMs for around £20 if you want to use the CD, similar to the one on here http://www.maplin.co.uk/external-cd-rom-drive-590640
I have also had a quick google and come up with this http://microsoft-office-enterprise-2007.software.informer.com/
Good luck, rather annoying paying for something like that then losing it!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Thanks for the info - I have a horrid feeling that it's no longer downloadable at all.
I have a computer at work I could try a CD to a USB copy, or otherwise I may have to buy what you're suggesting! I don't think I have the original email but will have a hunt through.
Thanks for your help.

I would suggest your best bet was to copy the CD to a USB Flash Dive, and install Office from there...
As suggested above, I see!0 -
This is a excellent free alternative if you need to use office.

Take your time downloading to ensure you opt out of the add-onsI think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.0 -

Thank you very much for this common sense idea. I found it and it's now downloading!
Thanks so much.
