How to transfer contacts to new Samsung S3 phone?

Options
My OH has just upgraded to a new Samsung S3 phone with Orange. He needs to get his contacts onto the new phone and cannot simply install the old sim (from his current Samsung) because the earlier model has a different sized Sim card apparently. It seems the S3 has a smaller sim card.

He has previously backed them up onto Orange. How does he transfer the contacts onto the new S3.

Download them from Orange directly to the phone? I ended up transferring them to Googlemail then they became available on the S3. If all else fails take the SIM's and phones to the shop and they'll do it for you....at least they should help.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

Just had to do the same thing, I sent mine from my old phone to S3 via bluetooth and it worked a treat, also sent ringtones etc.

i have had to take mine in for a repair yesterday as there is a bug in a batch of them i've only had my s3 for less than 4 months so beware. make sure you back up, in case yours start turning off and then finally wont turn back on.

you can download whatever you uploaded to their backup software go to google play and type in orange uk or whatever and it should come up.

I bluetoothed all mine from my old LGP-500 to my shiny new Samsung 3 LTE, no problem at all.

Remember you dont have to have you sim card in your old phone to do this.
