I am using outlook express 6. Even when I have unchecked the 'check for message every... minutes box' and the whole programme is turned off, it keeps opening up and popping up when I am typing in another programme. Any ideas how to stop this please.
I am using a new Dell computer. It has just been returned from technical support to fix a hardware problem. Could a virus or something have got onto it or is it just a coincidence that this has only now started happening?

Do you have any pre programmed keys on your keyboard, could you be hitting them when you type0

No, I'd thought of that. It appears to be quite random.0

Sounds like it is starting up at start-up - it may have happened while in for repair I guess - I know there is a way to check/amend which programmes auto start but I cant remember how as I use Tune-up which does this sort of thing easily - its free for a month too
