MS Office cannot be obtained for free or a low cost. Try the free alternative to office: OpenOffice. It is compatible with all your office documents and can save in Microsoft Office-compatible formats.
There are also other alternatives such as Google Docs (which is online). Try speaking to your orgainsation about Office 365 and whether they have a contract for it.The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

if you download Microsoft office from an unofficial source then Microsoft will find out and deactivate it
it is called the microsoft validation tool and is downloaded with updates to fight piracy0 -

Alternatively, LibreOffice. More info here; other options are many and varied, but not quite as popular.0 -
You can download a 60 trial but after that you must pay up or switch to a free alternative like those mentioned above.

Office 2013 will be out soon so you might want to hold off or make sure you get the version of 2010 that gives a free upgrade to 2013. Also I believe 2013 will have subscription options which may better suit you, if you don't want to fork out £100 or so up front.0 -
Or do as me & my dad did and find a relative who has a child at school and you get the full MS Office 2010 for 10% of the list price
(We got it for £40 instead of £400 last year).0 -

What about looking on ebay? There are ones like this:

although i am not sure how safe this would be?0 -

I have a full version of MS Office 2010 Professional plus which I only paid £8.95 for and it can be installed on 2 computers.
This was purchased as the company I work for is signed up for the Microsoft home user program, and this allows employees to purchase Office for a nominal sum.
sistersuzana, it might be worth seeing if your employer or the employer of anyone else in your household is signed up for this. (It is usually only large companies who are large volume users of MS products).0 -
Hi to all thanks for advice given. I can't obtain Office 2010 via my company.
