Hello,
I'm buying a new monitor but read that I need to check if my graphics card can handle 1440 x 900. How do I find this out? Also the contrast ratio on the monitor I have at the moment is 700:1 but the monitor I am looking at is 500:1, am I likely to see a noticeable difference? Thanks

If it's an Nvidia graphics card, you can go to the drivers page here:
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
and make the appropriate selections, which will take you to the latest driver for your card. Select the Release Notes which are towards the bottom of the page. This lists all the supported resolutions.
I looked on the ATI site but I can't find the same level of information.Charlie0 -
